Is a 35-year career law enforcement officer. He began with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office; spent two years in investigative services with the United States Army; served at Hornell and then Troy NY.
The major portion of Mark’s career has been spent as a Law Enforcement Executive, primarily in largely unionized settings. In spite of the surroundings, under his tutelage, both Police Departments have achieved NYS Law Enforcement Accreditation.
Received his Masters Degree from Alfred University, Alfred NY with a major in Community Service/Public Administration. Received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton FL and his Associates Degree in Police Science from Monroe Community College, Rochester NY. He also has attended and completed the FBI National Academy and FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar.
Commissioner is past president of NY State Association of Chiefs of Police. He served as the SACOP representative and is the Vice Chair of the SACOP Division of the International Association Chiefs of Police. He also served as Adjunct Professor at Hudson Valley Community College and Corning Community College and has lectured extensively on Leadership and other topics to law enforcement agencies.
