At the close of 2006 the Department of Fire/Rescue Services said good-by to two long-standing members of the department.   Deputy Chief Richard Halpin  (33years of service) and Judy Landis, Administrative Assistant (30 years of service retired after long careers with the department.  While we will miss two very strong employees we also celebrated the promotion of three department officers.  Steven Buffington was promoted to Deputy Chief, Gregory Altland was promoted to Assistant Chief in charge of Fire Prevention and Patrick Rose was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant serving in the Fire Prevention Bureau.
