Just One - Driving Impaired Initiative

The York City Police Department, in collaboration with businesses and organizations in the community, has launched Just One, an initiative to eliminate impaired driving.

York College student Jennifer Frederiksen is the winner of a design contest that was held to create a
a water bottle label, T-shirt and flyers to market the initiative.

Frederiksen's winning logo was unveiled during an event on November 19, 2008 at the Yorktowne Hotel. To view a copy of the speech Frederiksen delivered during the event click here.

In addition, Dr. Marie Kellett, a York County resident, shared her own personal experience in surviving a DUI crash. Two additional victims of DUI crashes also shared their stories. Mayor John S. Brenner also presented a proclamation in support of impaired driving awareness.

For more information about the Just One impaired driving initiative call Officer Ritchie Blymier at
717-846-1234 or send an e-mail to rblymier@yorkcity.org
